About Chris
I have served in the financial services industry since 2005, when I started my career at Allianz in contracting and licensing before moving into wholesaling a year later. I joined the TruChoice family in 2011 after a move to California landed me at CFC Capital Partners, which eventually rolled up into TruChoice. I am a Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP) and also hold an MBA.
Two events shaped my outlook on this industry and are why I do what I do today. The first was a chance meeting early in my career with a neighbor at a friend’s house, where the neighbor mentioned losing half their retirement savings during the market downturn in 2008 – except for an annuity they owned, which didn’t lose a penny. The second was the aftermath of losing my father, when I realized there wasn’t anything left behind to help my mother. I understand fully the importance of doing everything I can for my financial professionals so that they can, in turn, help set their clients up for successful retirements. I love the relationships that I have built with everyone I work with, and I feel personally invested in their success.
My wife, Ashley, and I, our two children, Parker and Madi, and our two dogs, Nahla and Casper, make our home in Dayton, Minnesota. My love of golf has rekindled now that Parker is learning to play, and we can be found on the driving range often. While living in California, I also developed a passion for landscape photography. An avid sports enthusiast, I love cheering on my Minnesota teams, especially the Vikings, and have also reignited my interest in sports cards and memorabilia as investment opportunities.
